We Thought Marinara Sauce Should Be Better
Riggs Sauce Company started with a simple idea: marinara sauce should provide bold flavor to a dish.
We wanted more flavor, more versatility, and a sauce with enough character to stand on its own.
Our Story
Riggs Sauce Co.'s beginnings date back to 2020 during the covid pandemic. Stuck inside the house with no marinara sauce, our founder, Brayden Riggs, had to create his own. It was then that Riggs Sauce Co. was born, starting with our Spicy Marinara. This sauce pushed the standard of marinara sauces with its lively and bold Italian flavors that you don't find in your typical store-bought marinara sauce.
To test how well the sauce would actually be received, Brayden began making and bottling test jars and selling them to close friends and relatives. He collected feedback the whole way, asking about all the details like labeling, packaging, taste, versatility, etc. all to constantly refine the Riggs Sauce experience.
In 2025 Riggs Sauce Company LLC was officially founded in Des Moines, Iowa with the hopes of challenging the standard in the jarred sauce industry. Our premium sauces are still made locally with local ingredients and we still collect feedback constantly to ensure constant refinement of the Riggs Sauce experience.
A Note From Our Founder
I started Riggs Sauce Company to create something that stood out. Not just on the shelf, but when you actually tried the sauce too.
I've always believed marinara sauce should have character. It should be bold enough that you actually notice it in your meal, balanced enough that you keep coming back for it, and versatile enough that you find yourself reaching for a jar whether you're making pasta, pizza, or wanting to try something completely new.
Putting my name in this company and our products means something to me. It means standing behind our products, and continuing to hold our products to a high standard by constantly refining the recipe as we scale. I believe the Riggs Sauce story is still in its early years and there's a lot more for this company to become, but I never want us to lose sight of what we started on: making a uniquely bold marinara sauce people were excited to put on the table.
